Julien is a Swiss photographer currently living in Paris.
A graduate of Sotheby’s Institute with a MSc in Art Business, he starts his journey as a photography intern at TimeOut Magazine in Shanghai, where he develops a personal body of documentary work engaging the topic of gentrification. Upon his return to London and studying at Central Saint Martins he starts working on his first editorial commission, an emerging fashion designers story for Document Journal.
In May 2019, Julien is one of twelve students to be admitted to the Red Hook Labs Residency in Red Hook, NY. There, he learns and evolves under the guidance of Stephen Frailey and Jimmy Moffat.
The time that followed opened a range of opportunities to work with reputable clients and publications, notably Hermès, Moncler, Document Journal, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Yoox Net-A-Porter, The Last Magazine, Kenzo, Vogue Ukraine, Office Magazine, The Telegraph, Weston, amongst others.
